Just want to know the species and if edible. I used to be good with basics but am out of practice. These are growing in my yard

Could be agaricus xanthodermus (poisonous) or agaricus essettei but hard to tell without having any pictures from the entire mushroom as gill and volva which you cut off i guess. The odour might also be helpful when determining mushrooms
