Can you take some more photos? Get up close, get different angles. Underside would be helpful but I understand if you don’t want to disturb or break this very interesting specimen. Post here under “online consultation” instead of “sighting” and you’ll be able to attach multiple photos.

Chicken in the woods grows off of wood. Might be a lobster mushroom.
