Yellow and spongy. Straight stalk kinda sticky

Probably Lactarius spec. We need a picture from the underside and how are smell and taste? Under what trees are they growing ?

I didn’t touch them. They didn’t smell and were surrounded by woody bushes like manzanita. That’s probably an accurate identification since I looked up the genus.
