I take it you don’t believe this is C. cibarius? Looks like published examples of C. flavus, but that’s supposed to be found only in the midwestern United States. Meanwhile, the only chanterelles I’ve seen in the midwestern US have been thicker and more substantial, like C. cibarius. Go figure.
